Rail Limits Note:

In a standard Operational Amplifier, the output voltage cannot swing all the way to the positive (+Vcc) or negative (-Vee) power rails. Typically, the output saturates (clips) about 1.5 Volts before reaching the supply limits. Modern Rail-to-Rail op-amps can swing within millivolts of the supply, but traditional ones (like the popular LM741 or TL072) follow this clipping limitation.
